Financial Operations:

• Manage comprehensive day-to-day financial operations with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness, particularly banking operations and accounts receivable management

• Prepare detailed month-end balance sheet reconciliations and financial close procedures

• Lead annual budget development and quarterly forecasting processes aligned with company growth objectives

• Conduct financial analysis, variance reporting, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership

• Oversee expense management and budgeting processes across all departments

• Develop and maintain robust process documentation for financial controls and compliance

Operations Management:

• Streamline operational processes to support rapid company scaling

• Coordinate cross-functional projects between finance, technology, and business development teams

• Manage vendor relationships for contract administration

• Support operations, including payroll processing and employee onboarding

• Implement operational systems and tools to improve efficiency

• Accounts payable and other critical business functions

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations

Strategic Support:

• Participate actively in leadership team meetings and strategic planning sessions

• Support fundraising activities and due diligence processes

• Collaborate with technology teams to understand AI product development costs and revenue models

• Provide financial insights for sports industry partnerships and client relationships

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

• ACCA qualification (completed or significant progress towards completion)

• Minimum 4 years progressive experience in accounting and financial operations

• Technology sector experience preferred, particularly in SaaS or AI companies

Technical Skills:

• Expert proficiency in accounting systems (Xero, Cashflow tools, or similar)

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for financial modeling and analysis

• Experience with financial planning tools and reporting systems

• Knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory reporting requirements

• Familiarity with CRM and project management tools (Monday.com, etc.)
